Greece fires up the lasers

The Pantheon may not be the only weathered monument to undergo laser treatment this year, the Greeks are breaking with tradition, instead of hair it's bare!
Athena poosalotofstuff has claimed to be one of the team of ten laser beauty technicians hired to work on this years contestant.
As you can see from our exclusive pictures they have made quite a dramatic transformation.
Well if all goes to plan for the Greeks it won't be hairy back, but sexy back!

Finland to rehab

When confronted about going to rehab, all Finland's contestant would say was " No, No, NO........it's all a misunderstanding, i was visiting an friend." While sources close to the star support this account of events, organisers in Coburg have concerns that addiction will haunts this news reader turn pop sensation.

Cyprus' thinks they can dance!

This year Cypriot officials state that "..eurovision is no longer a song contest....it's about the spectacle and how many reveals can be crammed into 3 minutes...so if you can't beat 'em, step touch." And that is just what Cyprus plans to do, offering a major dance extravaganza to accompany their song.
When pressed for details officials would not name their award wining choreographer but they did say " his influences include Tony Bartuccio, Helen Keller and Quentin."

Ireland says "hold the cranberry"

No need to preheat the oven to 180C or prepare the sausage mince stuffing, Ireland has declared they won't be bringing the turkey. With Dustin the Turkey failing to secure a finals position in Belgrade, Irish officials have stated "...he was delicious but he won't be trying his luck in Coburg...". Either love him or hate him Dustin caused quite a stir in Serbia being the first Eurovision contestant to present their song with a man's hand up their backside, although sources are yet to confirm this. One of the hosts named


After much speculation one of this years hosts has finally been announced. Jason-Scott Watkins who hosted the event in 2006 and 2007 again has signed up again to leader the audience through a sparkling evening of entertainment. Speaking to one of our sources Jason-Scott said "I'm just thrilled the organisers had the sense to pick me again....it's an event close to my heart."
And when asked about a co-host " well i can't really confirm that yet but i do believe she will be the most important women in the whole of creation"
who could this woman be??

France confirmed



Despite placing second from the bottom in 2006 and 2007, France has been the first country to confirm it's participation in the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest Coburg. The French delegation have hinted that their song will be a ballad with a tribal flavour. They also promise that particular emphasis will be placed on hand choreography or as it would be know on Battle of the Choirs handography.

After what audiences may remember as a slight technical hitch with message bank at last years contest, organisers have announced that only votes from within the arena will be counted this year. They have also promised that neighbour voting won't be an issue as they don't even talk to their neighbours after the ginger bread incident of 2006.

Date is announced!


We have just heard that a date has been set for this years Eurovision Song Contest Coburg.... 8Th November 2008. The concert is reportedly beginning at 8pm with the doors opening at 7pm so the audience can enjoy a beverage before what should be a remarkable evening.

Youtube a source of knowledge

Many of this year's contestants are becoming as modern as tomorrow by seeking inspiration from YouTube. This is just another example of how eurovision is moving with the times and catching up to the 90's. Gone are the days of hiring choreographers and stylists, artists are now turning to the Internet to see what can be done with a trip to St Vinnies, a pedestal fan and a web cam.
